San Antonio police: Three men held family at gunpoint, struck tenant on head with gun

SAN ANTONIO – A group of men barged into a unit at the Coppermill apartments and held a family at gunpoint early Thursday morning, San Antonio police said.

San Antonio police are looking for at least three men in connection with the home invasion at the apartments in the 5800 block of NW Loop 410 and Bandera Road.

According to San Antonio police, a couple and their children reported that the gunman forced their way into their home around 3:45 a.m. and forced them to lie face down on the floor.

San Antonio police said a male tenant was hit in the head with a gun a few times. Paramedics examined him, but the man refused treatment.

The intruders also rummaged through the family's belongings, but took only a set of car keys, San Antonio police said.

The suspects, however, did not steal the family's vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade, San Antonio police said.
