Christopher Johnson accused of stealing $6,000 from 80-year-old mom's account

Christopher Johnson, 48, charged with crimes against elderly

SAN ANTONIO – Northeast Side resident Christopher Johnson, 48, is accused of using various names and other people's bank accounts, including his own mother's, to commit crimes.

Johnson was arrested Friday on charges of exploiting the elderly and fraudulent use of identifying information-elderly.

The San Antonio Police Department's White Collar Crimes Detail began looking into the case against Johnson, who they said also went by the name Willie C. Green, in October.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that Johnson's mother told detectives her son had written about $6,000 worth of unauthorized checks on her account.

During the course of their investigation, detectives said they also heard from another woman who said Johnson had used her bank account numbers on counterfeit checks.

The affidavit stated that one of the bogus checks had the name of the San Antonio Express-News on it and was made out to Johnson for more than $500.

A warrant was issued for Johnson's arrest last Wednesday.
