Its owners say there's nothing else like it in the country -- and it was built and will debut right here in the Alamo City.
The course is called Alpha Warrior, and features dozens of unique obstacles for participants to run through.
Starting at the beginning, challengers have to run from one obstacle to the next, completing them in the fastest time possible.
The course was developed within the same mindset as the popular "Ninja Warrior" courses seen on both Japanese and American television.
Several contestants on that show, like Brent Steffensen, have run through the Alpha Warrior course, to rave reviews.
"I have run some other obstacle courses, and to be honest, I'm usually disappointed in the level of difficulty," said Steffensen. "This course is tough, though, and a lot of fun."
Alpha Warrior was created by several people, including David Nolan, who is a managing partner with Hill Country Bakery.
The course was originally designed to promote a health bar, but took on a life of its own.
Challenges like the Spider Wall, where participants have to hold themselves up between two walls while moving forward and ascending 20 feet towards a platform, are designed to test the physical abilities of the most seasoned athletes.
The course will be open to the public in the Alamodome parking lot on March 8, 9 and 10.
