A relatively new bus service in town is being touted as the cheapest way to travel between Texas cities.
The Megabus bus service began serving the San Antonio area in June 2012, and in less than a year, is expanding to other markets.

The Megabus, which holds a maximum of 77 people, offers reclining seats, free WiFi, electrical outlets, and panoramic views on a double-decker platform.
The cost of seats begin at $1, and increase slightly depending on length of travel and advance booking.
"I take the Megabus every week, basically," said Jesse Salazar III, a San Antonio resident, single father, and student at UT-Austin. "I've never paid more than $10 for a ticket."
Salazar is just one of many devoted customers who have opted to leave their cars at home, and use the Megabus for long-distance traveling.
"I like that I can charge my computer, and I can get on the internet and do schoolwork and stuff like that," said Anna Mendoza, who often takes the bus to commute between San Antonio and Austin.
Richard Funke, regional vice president for Kerrville Bus Company who operates Megabus, says the concept for Megabus started in the Northeast, but took off in Texas last year.
The company now offers routes out of San Antonio to Austin, Houston, Dallas, Eagle Pass, Uvalde, and several places in between.
"It's green, we're trying to get more people out of their cars and to travel via inner city bus, utilizing bus service from point to point," Funke said.
Booking seats for the Megabus is done entirely online, and the San Antonio stop is located at a parking lot at the Corner of 4th Street and Broadway.
After a successful run in both the Northeast United States and Texas, Megabus will soon be launching service in California.
