San Antonio news anchor Karen Martinez passed away Monday night after a lengthy battle with Stage IV breast cancer.
Martinez, a news anchor at FOX 29, fought breast cancer for four years and spearheaded the annual Healing Hearts Gala fundraiser to raise money for research and treatments of all cancers.

Martinez was 37. She leaves behind a husband and three children.
A public memorial for Karen will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Castle Ridge Mortuary, located at 8008 Military Drive West.
Memorial fund information for Karen's family is still pending.
