San Antonio police say two women were assaulted early Thursday morning in the parking lot of a northwest side apartment complex.
Police said the suspect attacked both women outside the Montecito Apartments in the 8300 block of West Hausman Road and stole one of their purses.
Police believe the suspect may have struck the first victim in the head with a large flashlight.
Police said she dropped her purse, but the suspect left the bag on the ground and attacked another woman instead.
The second victim also dropped her purse and the man fled with the bag, police said.
Investigators said they have a description of the suspect. Police have not announced an arrest in the case.
