If there is one thing I've learned from working on "Good Morning San Antonio" it's that news never sleeps!
At times, I honestly feel that I don't either. But I can also say I've never had as much fun, or done as much before dawn as I do now.

The question I'm asked most often is, "Gosh, what time do you have to get up?" When I tell people, "2:30 a.m.," it's usually met with gasps.
It truly can take as many as six alarms to wake me up some mornings, but once I'm up, there is no stopping me. My day goes full speed ahead as soon as I hit the KSAT studios.
I love the fact that I never know in advance what the morning will bring. Each day is a new experience and a new chapter in the story that is San Antonio.
Some days that story may include a tragic loss of life or property. Other days, it may be about a road closure or a community coming together.
I try my best to bring it all to you in an interesting way, and to give you the information you need to know to get your day started. If something happens while the rest of the world is sleeping, be rest assured that we're up working to bring you the story when you wake up.
While I'm a "news junkie" by nature, I enjoy it even more now that I'm part of the GMSA family. I jumped at the chance to work with Mark, Leslie, Mike and the rest of the gang three years ago. There's no place I'd rather be now.
Although I may not spend much time in the studio, I still feel a strong connection to all of them. What you may not know is that I'm listening to them -- and laughing with them -- sometimes, just minutes before I go on the air with a serious story. Keeping a straight face around them definitely is not easy!
As I said, working on GMSA is the most fun I've ever had before dawn. I hope it's fun for you, as well. Personally, I wouldn't trade my job for all the sleep in the world.
