SAN ANTONIO – More than 400,000 Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumpers have been recalled after 61 reports of injuries.
The problem is with the sun toy snapping back and smacking the baby in the face, causing cuts and even one skull fracture, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission www.cpsc.gov.
The toys were sold since May 2010 at major retailers including Toys R Us and Target.
Consumers are urged to stop using it and contact Kids II for a replacement.
J C Penney cribs recalled
Thousand of round-shaped cribs sold exclusively at J C Penney are recalled because the drop-side can malfunction. That poses an entrapment, suffocation and fall hazard, according to the CPSC.
The recall involves Rockland Furniture model 343-8314. The cribs were made by Nan Far Woodworking of Taiwan and were sold from 2005 through 2008.
Parents should stop using the crib and contact Rockland for a repair.
Procter and Gamble changing packaging of detergent pods tub
Procter and Gamble, the maker of Tide, is not only changing the packaging of its detergent pods tub, but also the packaging of the pouch.
The new design is opaque.
This move comes after concerns have been raised about small children playing and ingesting the candy-colored pods.
Costco is also introducing an opaque container next month, followed by a child-deterrent lid early next year.
