A two-car collision in Comal County sent a woman and her 3-year-old son to the hospital early Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred around 6 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 46 at FM 3009.
Officials believe the mother turned in front of a pick-up truck and the impact of the crash caused her to slam into a guardrail. She and her toddler son were taken to University Hospital by helicopter.
DPS troopers did not release their conditions, but said both were breathing at the time they were transported.
The pickup truck rolled over, but the driver only suffered cuts and bruises and was treated at the scene.
