San Antonio police say a Bexar County sheriff's deputy was stabbed multiple times early Sunday morning.
Authorities were called to the 1200 block of Division Avenue just before 3 a.m. to respond to the stabbing.
The deputy was reported in critical condition when EMS transported him to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
Sheriff's spokesman Paul Berry says that deputy was off-duty when the stabbing happened, and did not occur at the deputy's home.
The stabbing remains under investigation by SAPD.
