San Antonio police are asking for the public's help in identifying a person who they believe may be connected to the shooting death of a Balcones Heights police officer.
Julian Pesina, 29, was shot to death by two masked men on May 4 outside the business he co-owned, Notorious Ink Tattoo and Piercing Shop, on the 2800 block of Hillcrest. He was off duty at the time of the killing.
Photos of Pesina on his public Facebook page have raised concerns that he may have had ties to the notorious Mexican Mafia. In some of those pictures, images of Pesina's tattoos can be seen – one of which depicts "M13" -- that gang experts say are symbols of the Mexican Mafia.
On Wednesday afternoon, San Antonio police released a series of pictures depicting what appears to be a man in a white shirt and black cap, and a dark-colored vehicle with a white hood, that they believe may be connected to Pesina's death.
Police investigators believe the individual in the pictures may have information that might be helpful to their case.
Anyone with information on the identity of this person of interest is asked to call San Antonio police' homicide office at 210-207-7635.
