NBA Finals tickets on sale Tuesday; Spurs issue reminder about fakes

Only buy from credible online sources, officials say

The San Antonio Spurs are on their quest for another NBA championship title and thousands will be looking to witness it.

Tickets for the Spurs vs. Miami Heat games will go on sale Tuesday, but Spurs officials are issuing a reminder about being careful where you buy your tickets.

There have been a few incidents of fake tickets being sold to fans and for that reason, it's recommended you buy only through a credible source.

"I recommend going to nbatickets.com," said Joe Clark, vice president of sales for the San Antonio Spurs. "That's the only guaranteed way you can get a ticket outside of purchasing here at the AT&T Center, or when we go on sale, through spurs.com. But if you're taking a chance through one of these other sources, you are taking a very big chance."

There are just over 18,000 seats at the AT&T Center and each ticket has its own unique bar code that must be scanned when entering the building.

This prevents fraudulent ticket-holders from entering the building.
