A man accused of shooting at a Lytle police officer Monday night is now in custody.
Matthew Arambula, 19, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a public servant, a first-degree felony.
He was transported to the Atascosa County Jail and booked in at around 8 p.m.
The San Antonio Police Department helped with the investigation, along with the sheriff's offices of Atascosa, Bexar and Medina counties and Texas Rangers Sgt. Shane Staley.
A number of tips from the public also helped track down the suspect.
The Lytle chief of police says it's still very early in the investigation and there is still more work to do.
