SAPD: Handed teller note, fled with cash

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspected bank robber.

According to a police report, the robbery occurred at 8:20 a.m. Thursday at the Compass Bank at 18080 US Hwy. 281 N.

A bank teller told investigators the 25- to 35-year-old man walked into the bank and headed straight for her counter. She said he was wearing white latex gloves when he handed her a piece of paper that read "put money in bag."

Police dispatched the department's Blue Eagle helicopter to search for him, but they were not able to find him.

The man is described to be six feet, two inches tall with a medium build.

Anyone with information on this man is urged to call the San Antonio Police Department's robbery division at 210-207-0300.
