BOERNE, Texas – Thanksgiving came a few days early for many military members at a special event in Boerne.
Toyota of Boerne handed out about 3,000 turkeys to veterans and current military members Friday at the 4th annual Turkeys for Troops event.
One wounded warrior, Army Staff Sgt. Jeremiah Busby, also received a new home from the Military Warrior Support Foundation.
"You can never put a level on generosity. To be shown this level of care from strangers means a lot," said Busby.
Robert Earl Keen was also on hand to put on a mini concert.
The dealership partnered with Walmart and iHeartMedia to put on the event.
