Quarry Farmers and Ranchers Market gets new location, name

SAN ANTONIO – Vendors at the Quarry Farmers and Ranchers Market now have a new location to sell their goods.

Starting next Sunday, the market will be relocated to the yard in Olmos Park, off McCullough Avenue.

The market's name will also be changed to The Yard Farmers and Ranchers Market.

The relocation comes after the lease ran out at the Quarry.

According the Alamo Quarry Market, the decision was based on discussions with tenants and customers to better serve the operations and shopping experience at the Quarry.

Vendors and customers seem to be OK with the change, since the new location isn't far from the old one.

"We're surrounded by small, entrepreneurial businesses, which I think is a better fit for the market. I think the city of Olmos Park is a great place to be, so we're real excited," said David Lent, co-founder of the market.

The Yard Farmers and Ranchers Market will be open at the new location next Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
