SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police say a man caught on security cameras stealing tires earlier this month is now accused of other crimes.
Reynaldo Martinez, 21, has now been charged with four counts of theft.
Investigators say Martinez and a woman were captured on surveillance cameras taking tires from trucks at Freeman Decorations on San Antonio's East Side.
They also say Martinez admitted to the theft and gave them enough information to connect him to three other recent thefts.
One was at Alamo Transportation Service, where investigators say Martinez and another man deflated six 18-wheeler tires and loaded them into the back of an vehicle.
Police said he also confessed to stealing four 18-wheeler tires from Coleman American Moving.
The value of the stolen tires -- just from these two cases, investigators said -- adds up to nearly $5,000.
The woman arrested with Martinez was charged with one count of felony theft. Her name was not released.
