LA VERNIA, Texas – Police in La Vernia say a severed fiber line has cut off access to 911 service in the area.
La Vernia police officials said the Verizon fiber line was cut late Wednesday afternoon, cutting off all communications and hindering access to 911 emergency services.
They expected service to be restored by 11 p.m.
They say if people in need of emergency services cannot get through to 911 they should call 830-779-4541, ext. 1.
