Roberson and Clarkson played together on many of the same developmental basketball leagues growing up. While at Wagner, the pair led the Thunderbirds to the state semi-finals in 2009 and 2010.

Clarkson was picked by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2013 NBA draft. He has recently seen a significant increase in his playing time after Kobe Bryant's season ending injury.

Roberson was chosen by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round of last year's draft and now plays in the starting lineup.
