SAPD: Man drove off with stove from home under construction

Jose Rebollar, 30, believed to be 1 of 2 suspects

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police arrested one of two men named as suspects in the theft of a home that was still under construction.

Jose Rebollar, 30, was taken into custody on a theft charge Thursday.

Although the second suspect is named in an arrest warrant affidavit, there is no mention that he has been arrested yet.

The affidavit stated that investigators reviewed surveillance video from the construction site where the theft happened and it shows a green Ford F150 pickup truck driving onto the property with its license plates clearly visible.

About 30 minutes later, the same truck is seen in the video, leaving the property with cardboard covering its license plates.

The truck also had a stove in its bed, the affidavit stated.

Detectives used the license plate number to track down the owner of the truck.

They said he told them he had sold the vehicle about a year ago to Rebollar's brother.

When detectives reviewed the surveillance video, they identified Rebollar as one of the men in it, the affidavit stated.
