FALFURRIAS, Texas – Border Patrol agents rescued 35 people that were concealed in a tractor-trailer Sunday at the Falfurrias checkpoint.
According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, a man identified as a U.S. citizen approached the checkpoint on 281 North in a tractor-trailer. After a service K-9 alerted agents to the trailer, they found 35 people who entered the country illegally locked inside.

Officials said the driver was arrested on alien smuggling charges and the tractor-trailer was seized.
All 35 people were offered medical attention but declined.
