BCSO arrest couple wanted for storage unit break-ins

Woman, boyfriend arrested for theft of vehicles, other property

SAN ANTONIO – A weeks-long crime spree appears over now that Bexar County sheriff's deputies have arrested a woman and her boyfriend for a string of storage unit break-ins.

The arrest happened Monday. The sheriff's office released surveillance photos Friday of the woman seen leaving one of the scenes.

The woman was accused of breaking into four units at a Uncle Bob's Self Storage, located at 10260 Marbach Road on April 14. She was reportedly breaking into the units and then putting the stolen items into a dark-colored, double-cab Ford truck.

The next day, the same woman was seen breaking into another storage unit at a Uncle Bob's on Hunt Lane.

Monday night, deputies found the 27-year-old woman, identified as Kathryne Eileen Blake, at the home of her boyfriend, Jimmy Montes Deoca in the 100 block of El Ray. They said several stolen items, including vehicles and construction tools, were found inside.

"The suspect was in one of these vehicles. It appeared she was about to leave," said spokesman James Keith. "Our officers were able to respond quickly and take her into custody without incident."

Blake was wanted for four outstanding felony warrants.

Deoca, 38, was in a stolen vehicle in the backyard of the home. Investigators reportedly found a machete next to him, along with items used to break into locks and drug paraphernalia.

The couple faced charges related to the possession of stolen items.
