General Position Description:
--Assists with daily design and production of video graphics for newscasts, special reports, promotion spots, alternative programming, and web elements.
--Create supporting print graphics and logos for web sites, newspapers, posters, flyers, T-shirts, etc.
--Design special projects for outside presentations such as parades, kiosks, concerts, etc.
--Create and design projects with producers, writers, and other artists at our Graphics Hub.
--Your workspace is an open area where there will not always be privacy or a quiet place to work.
Responsibilities:
--Work under tight deadlines to create graphics for fast-paced newscasts, at a strong number one station.
--Create entire graphics packages for sports programming, newscasts, special reports, talk shows, web sites, etc.
--Work closely with News producers, promotion producers and sales staff to create looks that are fitting with our brand.
--Create virtual set elements that can enhance our existing virtual set designs.
--Edit on Final Cut, using graphics you've created and video that's been shot by a videographer.

Qualifications:
--Graphics Design degree or 3-5 years of related experience.
--Experience conceptualizing and creating 3D animations required.
--Experience with Photoshop, After Effects, HTML 5, Illustrator, Final Cut, Cine4D, and others as required.
--Ability to edit video and graphics using Final Cut or similar a plus.
--Ability to work under very tight deadlines to incorporate fresh elements into daily newscasts, talk shows, web sites, billboards, etc.
--Effective internal and external communication skills.
--Understand KSAT12's presence in the community and the core values associated with our brand.
