SAN ANTONIO – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the slaying of a 19-year-old man at a Northeast Side apartment complex.
Police said Glenn Jackson's body was found around 3:15 p.m. on May 17 near the main office of the apartment complex in the 5300 block of Gawain Drive.

"Glenn was a kid that we really held dear," said Taj Matthews, who mentored Glenn at the Claude Black Leadership Foundation. "He had very high ambitions, and so to see this tragically happen to him, it's very tragic to us."
A dozen shell casings were found at the scene. Police said Jackson was shot once in the back. He was given CPR before paramedics arrived, but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Multiple witnesses said a teenager or young man fled west on Gawain Drive in a white or light-colored Dodge Charger, although police would not confirm the vehicle's make and model.
Several people were taken in for questioning and investigators were also working with the apartment's manager to acquire surveillance footage that may have captured the shooting or the suspect's vehicle.
Police said Jackson had been involved in an argument before he was shot. Investigators indicated that they know the identities of the suspects, but they are asking for information from the public that would help lead to the arrest of the suspects.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP (224-7867). Callers may remain anonymous.
