NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Police are searching for two men wanted in connection with the assault and robbery of a pizza delivery woman in New Braunfels.

New Braunfels police said the 34-year-old woman was delivering pizzas to a home on Rolling Rapids Drive on Tuesday when she was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground.

Two men in their late teens or early 20s jumped into her black 2014 Dodge Dart and drove away. New Braunfels police spotted the stolen car on I-35 south near Solms Road, but the men were able to escape near the intersection of O'Connor and Weidner roads. Live Oak police assisted in the chase.

San Antonio police found the car abandoned in the 12000 block of Command Post Street with no sign of the men.

The delivery woman suffered minor injuries in the assault and was treated at Christus New Braunfels Hospital.

One of the men in the assault and robbery is described as about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a slender build. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, red hoodie and khaki pants. The second man is described as about 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing about 200 pounds. No clothing description was given for the second man, police said.

Anyone with information on the men is asked to call New Braunfels police at 830-221-4100 or Comal County Crime Stoppers at 830-620-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.
