2 wounded in shooting inside Kirby bar

Police searching for shooter

KIRBY, Texas – Two men are being treated for minor gunshot wounds that Kirby police said they suffered during a shooting inside a bar.

Officers responded to Lo Jax Lounge in the 4700 block of Old Seguin Road around 2 a.m. Friday.  They said the shooting happened during a fight inside the bar shortly before closing.

Investigators said one person involved in the fight pulled out a gun and began firing, leaving the two victims with graze wounds.  One man, who suffered a head wound, was taken to a hospital by ambulance.  The other went on his own for treatment of a neck wound.

The shooter got away. Early on, a detective said he had just a general description of that person.

He did not release the names of the men who were shot, but said both were in their 20s.
