NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Police are asking for the public's help in finding a woman who stole perfume and cologne, according to the New Braunfels Police Department.

The woman entered the Ulta Beauty store in the 200 block of Creekside Crossing at 3:30 p.m. July 1.

Police said the woman proceeded to steal 17 bottles of perfume and cologne by placing the items inside a large black purse.

The total value of the stolen fragrances came to more than $1,500, according to New Braunfels police.

Police described the woman as Hispanic, 40 years old, with long, dark hair. Police said she was wearing dark-colored jeans, a white long-sleeved shirt, aqua-colored athletic-style shoes and a ring on the middle finger of her left hand at the time of the theft.

Anyone with information on the woman's identity is asked to call New Braunfels police or Comal County Crime Stoppers. Police said Comal County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest and/or grand jury indictment.
