SAN ANTONIO – A man accused of kidnapping a 7-year-old girl earlier this month, while her parents were in the bathroom of a local restaurant, has been arrested.
Jose Torres, 56, was arrested Friday afternoon in Dawson County in west Texas.

Police said Torres is accused of taking the girl from LuLu's Bakery and Cafe near downtown San Antonio around 12:30 a.m. Jan. 7.
The girl was found a short time later in the drive-thru of a nearby Jack In The Box. She was not hurt.
Detectives with SAPD's Special Victims Unit gathered information that Torres might be in Lamesa, Texas, and notified the Dawson County Sheriff's Office. Dawson County deputies arrested Torres around 3 p.m. Friday.
He was booked into the Dawson County jail and is waiting for extradition back to Bexar County to face kidnapping charges.
