Man shot, killed on city's Northeast Side

SAPD found wounded man at apartments on Ray Bon Drive

SAN ANTONIO – A call about gunshots fired in a Northeast Side neighborhood led to the discovery of a man who had been shot.

Unfortunately neither San Antonio police officers, nor paramedics, could save him.

The 27-year-old victim died from his wounds.

Officers responded to a shots fired call just before 11 p.m. Sunday when they found the wounded man at an apartment complex in the 4800 block of Ray Bon Drive, located off Eisenhauer Road.

Police said paramedics worked on him for about 30 minutes but were unable to do anything to save him.

At last word, investigators had not found any witnesses to the shooting nor made any arrests. They also did not release the name of the man who was killed.
