HOUSTON – A 22-year-old woman has been charged with capital murder in the death of her 5-month-old daughter.
Police say Tradezsha Bibbs told them that around 1:30 p.m. on April 14 she went to her grandmother's house to drop off groceries. She said her daughter, Brielle Robinson, fell from her car seat onto the concrete. Bibbs also said her grandmother advised her to take the child to the hospital, but since Bibbs had an open Child Protective Services investigation, she decided not to do so.

According to reports, around 9 p.m. the same day, Bibbs said Brielle became "raspy" with her breathing and then completely stopped breathing. Bibbs said she called 911 and the child was taken to the hospital.
Court documents say the doctor believed Brielle's injuries were varied and involved several organ systems. The doctor also said the child had multiple rib fractures and the injuries were inconsistent with the fall Bibbs described. The doctor believed the injuries were the result of abuse.
According to court documents, Bibbs later admitted her story was not true. She said she checked in at a hotel around 3- 4 p.m. on April 14 and shortly after began to not care about the child's well-being. Bibbs said when the child began to cry, she would pick her up and drop her on the bed -- causing the child to bounce off the mattress and fall to the floor. She said she did this 2-3 times.
Court documents say Bibbs admitted to hitting the child in the face, punching her in the ribs and "popping" her in the chest until she stopped crying.
She said when the child stopped breathing, she called 911.
The autopsy conducted on Brielle revealed she died of multiple blunt-force trauma to the head and body.
