Inmate commits suicide in Bexar County Jail, officials say

SAN ANTONIO – An inmate in jail for capital murder was found dead of an apparent suicide, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said Saturday.

Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesperson James Keith said the 22-year-old inmate was found dead alone in his cell shortly before 8:30 a.m.

The inmate was originally booked into the Bexar County Jail in June for capital murder, Keith said.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office will release the name of the man once family notification has been made.

Keith said there were no signs of foul play.
