SAN ANTONIO – Edgar Gonzales, 24, a local youth pastor was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl.
The two had been communicating via Snapchat for 2-3 weeks before Gonzales texted her that he wanted to have sex with her.
According to an arrest affidavit, on July 9 the two had oral sex and on July 12 the 16-year-old teen said Gonzales picked her up and drove her to far North Bexar County and had sexual intercourse with her in his car.
The girl also told her SANE examining nurse that Gonzales promised to marry her and take care of her.
Gonzales was released after posting a $20,000 bail.
