BLANCO COUNTY, Texas – They are two eye-catching buildings that can’t be missed if you travel along Highway 281 in Blanco County.
Rising up between Blanco and Johnson City, the Arc De Texas and the Lighthouse sit on nearly 2,000 acres that include some of the highest points in the Texas Hill Country.
The Arc is modeled after Arc De Triomphe Du Carrousel in France.
The owners, Kathy and Eric Meyerton, bring wine from all over the world. Guests stay in one of the man room available.
“We just try to pick the best wines,” Eric said.
The Arc also offered four suites and views few other places can offer.
The Meyertons said the idea came about from remodeling a ranch house and a desire to share the ranch with other people.
Over at the Lighthouse, there is room for 15 people, an infinity pool and fire pit. Two of the floors are for bedrooms and the top floor offers more panoramic views, both inside and out.
There is more to this place than just wine tasting,” Kathy said. “Eric wants his guests to get the full flavor of a Texas ranch.”
