Two of three men found dead of apparent gunshot wounds at an apartment complex Tuesday afternoon have been identified.

The medical examiner’s office identified them as 21-year old Pedro Garcia and 22-year old Matthew Travis Martinez. The third man’s name was not released because his family has not been notified.

San Antonio police Chief William McManus said a passerby first noticed when she looked through a sliding door and saw two of the men lying on the floor of a unit at La Paloma Apartments at 102 W. Rampart Drive.

When EMS and police arrived, they found another body, McManus said.

“I'm not too surprised, to be honest with you. My brother use to live over there and from what he's told me, there was always cops going in and out," said Raphael Serna, who lives nearby.

McManus said it appeared that the incident probably happened around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

"I just want to make sure that my place is safe," resident Anthony Mathis said.

San Antonio police don’t believe the shooting was random, but are still investigating.

"We don't know much more than that right now," McManus said.
