Reward offered for man wanted in New Braunfels rape

Antonio Rangel-Torres, 30, facing charge of aggravated sexual assault

SAN ANTONIO – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a man wanted on charges he raped a New Braunfels woman.

Authorities have been looking for Antonio Rangel-Torres, 30, since they obtained a warrant in March for his arrest on a charge of aggravated sexual assault.

"The report alleged that Torres broke into a home, sexually assaulted the victim, then fled the scene," said Deputy United States Marshal Chris Bozeman. "Torres has not been seen since and is still on the run."

Torres has black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.

"His last known place of residence was on the east side of San Antonio," Bozeman said.
