Seguin PD investigating double murder

Mother, son killed in early morning shooting

SEGUIN, Texas – A mother and her son are dead after an early Sunday shooting in Seguin.

Police in Seguin say someone fired multiple shots at a duplex in the 500 block of E. Baxter Street around 5:45 a.m. Sunday.

Officers on patrol heard gunshots, then got a call for shots fired and people down inside the duplex.

Seguin PD says officers found the victims shot and killed inside one side of the duplex, and bullet holes in the front door and a window of the other side.

The dead are 64 year-old Belinda Sauceda and her 30 year-old Jeremy Sauceda.

Police say family members told them they knew of no problems or trouble the mother and son had been involved in.

They're now searching for whoever fired the shots.
