SAN ANTONIO – Rep. Philip Cortez grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He's served as a Community Resource Advocate for the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center.
He was first elected to the San Antonio City Council in 2007. He was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2012.
