SAN ANTONIO – In the four decades since an elderly woman was brutally attacked and killed, San Antonio police have had some leads in the case. None have lead to the arrest of a suspect.
Regina Hertz, 73, was barely alive when a passerby found her lying in a pool of blood on the side porch of an abandoned church at South San Jacinto and Buena Vista Feb. 27, 1974.
