SAN ANTONIO – After a bar outing, Rudy Navarro should have made it home. He was walking with his wife, brother and friend when he was shot and killed. No one has been arrested for the 1986 murder.
San Antonio police said Navarro, 35, had been at the El Pacifico Bar at South Presa and Pereida on Sept. 25. He was about one block from there when a red Chevy Monte Carlo with a green passenger door drove by. The two people inside the car exchanged words with Navarro and his group.

Police said the car left, came back and the passenger fired a shotgun at the group.
Navarro died in the parking lot of Handy Andy on the 900 block of South Presa. Another person was injured but survived.
SAPD's Cold Case Squad is still investigating the murder.
"Over the years, several leads have been investigated and suspects developed, but not enough evidence has been found to file a case against anyone," police said.
Navarro's family is still looking for closure, "realizing that the persons responsible for Rudy Navarro's death might not even be alive."
