SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police said three men who witnessed the stabbing death of a local man in 1977 have never come forward to help them solve the case.
Jose Perez was sitting at a table with at least three people inside a bar at Sylvia's Lounge (an address was not provided) on Dec. 23, 1977. Police said the suspect walked up to Perez, exchanged words with him, then stabbed him in the chest.

The suspect walked out the front door.
Perez was found in a pool of blood, dead from the single stab wound.
Police said they have received no cooperation from people in the bar.
"The three people sitting with Mr. Perez at the time of the stabbing still have not come forward and have not been identified. Several other patrons of the Lounge who may also have information on this case left before police arrived," police said.
The case is still being investigated by SAPD's Cold Case Squad.
