SAN ANTONIO – Police say they have suspects but have made no arrests in a 1974 murder.

Jesse Garcia left his home Nov. 16, 1974, visited a lounge and then returned home. His wife told police in San Antonio that she heard "what sounded like three gunshots and a car door slam in front of their home" in the 400 block of South Frio.

When the front door opened, she heard a groan. She found her husband lying on the sidewalk.

He had been shot.Garcia's wife told police that as she was going to a neighbor's home for help, she saw "the shadow of an unknown man walk(walking) off."

Garcia, 28, was taken to Baptist Hospital, where he died.

Garcia had been at a lounge in the 600 block of West Durango before he returned home.

Police have said that they have developed suspects, but have not been able to file charges against anyone.
