SAN ANTONIO – A sergeant with the San Antonio Police Department was arrested Tuesday on a domestic violence charge after turning himself into Bexar County authorities.
Sgt. David Perry was detained Tuesday and in the process of being magistrated as of 7 p.m.

SAPD spokesman, Sgt. Jesse Salame said:
The department was aware of, and had investigated the allegation against Sergeant David Perry. He had been on administrative duty as the case was being investigated. Now that he has been arrested, he has been placed on administrative leave pending the formal outcome of the case.
Additional details regarding Perry’s arrest and the allegations of domestic violence have not been made available.
