Police: Man shot to death after threatening woman with gun

Investigators questioning 3rd person in connection with shooting

SAN ANTONIO – A 48-year-old man is being questioned in connection with a deadly shooting at a home just east of downtown.

San Antonio police said he shot and killed another man who had threatened a woman with a gun on Thursday night.

Police said witnesses told them the 43-year-old man who was killed was the ex-boyfriend of the woman.

Police said the pair had been arguing outside a home in the 200 block of W. High Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. when the man pulled out a gun.

The woman ran inside the home with her ex following behind her, officials said. Police said when he tried to break into the home, another man who already was inside fired the shots, killing him.

They said no charges have been filed yet but the case is still under investigation.

Police have not released the names of anyone involved.
