CPS Energy upgrades to impact all customer payment options

SAN ANTONIO – If your CPS Energy bill is due, you might want to pay it now.

Starting Thursday at 8 p.m., all payment options for the city utility will be unavailable for customers.

During the shutdown and outage, CPS will be upgrading its systems to improve security and performance.

The closures will last until Tuesday at 7 a.m.

During the closure:

  • All customer walk-in centers and call center will be closed
  • Manage My Account will not be available
  • Pay locations (H-E-B, kiosks, Chase, Western Union, etc.) will not be available
  • Electric and gas emergencies can still be reported
  • Customer Engineering and Agency Partner portals will not be available

The utility is encouraging customers to pay their bills before the upgrade.

Should anyone experience at electric or gas closure, they can call 210-353-4357.
