SAN ANTONIO – After Leroy Solis Jr. was denied the ability to walk the stage because he wore jeans to his graduation ceremony, he did the unthinkable by asking a complete stranger to switch pants.
With only three minutes before he had to line up, the stranger accepted Solis Jr.’s plea without hesitation and gave the soon-to-be-graduate a different meaning of the "shirt off my back" by providing him the “slacks off his legs.”

Shortly after MacArthur High School’s graduation ceremony on Tuesday, Solis Jr. told his sister Rosemary De Los Santos how he was able to walk the stage after initially being denied by the school’s administration.
That’s when De Los Santos turned to Facebook Wednesday night to share her brother’s story in an attempt to find the stranger.

In the post, De Los Santos said she got emotional when Solis Jr. told her he showed up to the Freeman Coliseum in jeans and that the “Principal told him he wasn't crossing the stage and sent him home.”
“My brother walked back to his car and came across a young man his height and size (and) my brother proceeded to explain that he needed slacks to walk the stage,” De Los Santos said in the post. “The young man and his dad said ‘Get in our truck and switch out pants,’ (and) then they told him ‘go cross the stage.’"

KSAT.com spoke with De Los Santos Thursday afternoon after viewers shared her post to help find her brother’s savior on his big day.
“Had he (the man) not done this for my brother, he would have missed his graduation,” De Los Santos said. “I'm very grateful, thankful (and) I want to find him to thank him for his kind gesture. I want to do something nice for him and his father.”

De Los Santos said she knew there was a dress code policy in place, but her brother figured the gown will cover his clothes and chose not to burden their single father with the expense of buying him “slacks, tie, and shoes that he’ll only wear once.”
De Los Santos also said that because Solis Jr. was also required to a tie, he was forced to buy a $10 tie outside the Coliseum.
The Facebook post has received over 700 shares and the photo has been liked over 1,000 times.
