SAN ANTONIO – A man who was shot in the face after leaving a South side bar early Monday morning remains in critical condition at a hospital.
San Antonio police said witnesses told them someone in a gray colored Chevy Silverado pickup fired the shots just before 2:30 a.m.
They said the man who was shot had just left the Far West bar, located in the 2500 block of Pleasanton Road. He was hit by the gunfire in the parking lot.
He was taken to University Hospital by ambulance. The last word from police is that he was in critical condition.
Investigators have been questioning witnesses in the hope of finding out why the man was shot and who shot him.
They were not able to offer much information early on about the victim. Police said he appeared to be in his 20s.
