SAN ANTONIO – A 43-year-old man who died of a gunshot wound to the neck after being shot inside a Northeast Side home was identified Friday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Jose Garcia-Martinez, the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Police said the shooter walked into the home in the 100 block of Northgate Thursday night without knocking and fired a single, fatal shot.
"There were no signs of forced entry at the location, so we don't know what the victim's actions were, as far letting that person in, or did that person just walk into the house and shoot the victim," police spokesman Officer Doug Greene said.

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
There were several other people inside the home at the time; however, they all said they were in other rooms of the house, police said.
No arrests have been made.
