BCSO names deputies accused in hazing investigation

Deputies videoed using county-issued stun gun, shackles, handcuffs

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff's deputies who allegedly participated in the hazing of a fellow deputy at a house party on Friday have been identified.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said corporals Ryan Ferrell and Devin Tutor, along with officers Michael Gomez, Joseph Martinez, Juan Macias, Joshua Montoya and Alyssa Aranda, participated in the hazing incident that involved county-issued shackles, handcuffs and a stun gun.

Salazar said the deputies involved are part of the SERT team (Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team).

The deputies -- including the deputy that was allegedly hazed -- were placed on leave for a minimum of 10 days after Sheriff Javier Salazar discovered video of the incident.
