SAN ANTONIO – Monday at approximately 11:40 a.m., the moon will partially block out the sun in San Antonio.
San Antonio will be able to view 61 percent of the eclipse from any given vantage point.

City of Schertz
Crescent Bend Nature Park, 12805 W. Schafer Road
12:30 to 2 p.m.
Spectators will be able to view the eclipse at Crescent Bend Nature Park in Schertz. Eclipse viewing glasses will not be available.
Our Lady of the Lake University
St. Anthony’s Courtyard
12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
OLLU faculty will provide solar eclipse goggles that protect spectator’s eyes. “We cannot give our goggles away but we will have many pairs for people to share. We will also have at least one telescope with a solar viewing filter to safely view the event,” eclipse-viewing organizer Charles Smith said.
Paramour

Guests can toast to the eclipse at Paramour with champagne out on the rooftop bar. The first fifty guests will receive eclipse viewing glasses.
Pease Middle School
201 Hunt Lane, San Antonio, 78245
11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The school received a donation of 250 certified eclipse glasses and is inviting the community to safely view the eclipse from the football field. “This is a great way to come together as a community in an educational way,” science teacher Scott Hutcheson said.
San Antonio College
1819 N Main Avenue, Parking lot 21
11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The Scobee Planetarium at San Antonio College will have a solar telescope, a limited number of solar filter glasses and pinhole viewers to see the eclipse. Food trucks will be in the parking lot and other activities have been planned for the celestial event.
San Antonio Public Libraries
Various locations
The San Antonio Public Libraries are hosting eclipse viewing parties at several locations throughout the city, however eclipse glasses will be very limited at these locations. Click here to view the full list of participating libraries and details for each.
Southwest Research Institute
6220 Culebra Road
12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Planetary scientists, solar physicists and other scientists will be at the Southwest Research Institute answering questions about the eclipse during the viewing party.
