SAN ANTONIO – A 33-year-old man shot in family dispute has died at an area hospital overnight, San Antonio police said Wednesday.
The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 2400 block of Marilyn Kay Street on the city's Northwest Side and involved a father and son.
According to police, the father shot the son during the argument and had to be detained and separated.

The victim was taken by EMS to University Hospital where he later died.
At this time, the name of the victim is not presently known and it is unclear if the shooting was in self-defense.

San Antonio police are investigating a shooting on the Northwest Side in which a father shot his son.
The shooting was reported just before 9:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Marilyn Kay Street.
The son, 33, was taken to University Hospital in critical condition. The father remained at the scene and was talked to investigators, an officer at the scene said.
Police said there were at least four other people inside the home at the time of the shooting.
It is unclear if the shooting was an act of self-defense or a criminal act, police said.
